           Just a reminder! The Open Enrollment period for enrolling in or making changes to your employee benefits is June 1, 2010 to June 18, 2010. Every employee enrolling in or making changes to his/her benefits must do so online thru EMACS. The changes made to your benefits during Open Enrollment will become effective July 31, 2010. The premium rate change will become effective Pay Period 16. Pay warrants issued on August 11, 2010, will reflect the Open Enrollment rate change. Employees who do not complete the 2010-11 Open Enrollment process will maintain his/her current benefit elections with the exception of participation in the Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan (Flexible Spending Account). This form must be filed annually. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Employee Benefits at (909) 387-5787. The staff will be available to answer questions, and will even assist you in completing the transactions online if you go to their office.

           Employee benefit enrollments and changes are only being completed online. Therefore, it is extremely important that each employee print and retain a copy of his/her confirmation page. This page may be necessary to prove that you made the changes during the required Open Enrollment period in case there is a problem with Employee Benefits not receiving the information due to computer error. These computer errors are rare, but have occurred in the past. Some of the members who experienced the computer errors were able to have the issue resolved quickly because Employee Benefits was aware of the problem. However, a couple of our members were not so lucky and had to go through the appeal process which can take some time. So be safe and print a copy of your confirmation page for your records!
