SEBA Election Successes Continue

The slate of candidates endorsed by SEBA enjoyed great success in the Primary Election held on June 6th, with twenty-one out of twenty-two candidates either scoring outright wins or securing a run-off.

SEBA has always stood on the principle of supporting candidates who believe in strong and effective public safety, and who foster good government ideals. The success of our political action committee is a hallmark of the overall success of the organization as a whole.

Here are the results from the June 6th Primary Election:

* The winners listed above have been elected to new terms that will commence in either December 2006 or January 2007 depending upon the office. Candidates labeled “Runoff” did not receive more than fifty percent of the vote and will face the candidate who received the second highest vote percentage.
D = Democrat R = Republican NP = Non-Partisan Office

Assessor Candidate Bill Postmus garnered over 46% of the vote while the incumbent Assessor Don Williamson received just over 33%. Two other candidates received approximately 20%.

Candidate for Superior Court Judge, Deputy District Attorney Steve Malone received over 43% of the vote cast, while runner-up Deputy District Attorney Larry Roberts received 30%.
