Tentative Agreement Reach for Hazardous Materials Unit

After three months of negotiating a successor MOU, SEBA and the Special District reached a Tentative Agreement on December 7th for the Hazardous Materials Unit. In this Agreement SEBA was successful in obtaining substantial increases in the Medical Premium Subsidy, the creation of a Retirement Medical Trust Fund, increases in the Uniform Allowance, Differentials, Salary Increases of 13.5% to 14.5% (depending on classification) over a three year term. Additionally, SEBA was successful in obtaining language outlining the compensation of the Training Officer, and Call-Back pay.

The ratification process for the agreement is as follows. First is to have the members of the Unit vote to either accept or reject the Agreement. Once the Agreement is accepted then the Board of Supervisors will vote to accept the agreement. After both sides have agreed to the Tentative Agreement it will be put in place.
