In regards to the new proposal by the county 1. The people over 18 years will lose the money in their paycheck? 2. And it will go into retirement medical trust? 3. In regards to being able to take the money for a year (1 time) is that good for the purpose of retirement or is like OT?
1) you are correct. Members with 18 years as of 2005 will lose money. 2) no, the money does not go into the Retirement Medical Trust. 3) yes, the one time money will count as earnable comp.

Page 2 Sec 4, can you please define? Does this section affect the compensation a 30 yr vet currently receives which is approx. $480 per month?
Yes, as of March. They will still be able to receive that amount for 26 continuous pay periods. This will count as earnable comp.

In July 2011 our medical will increase between $100-$180 per month dependending on our plan. Our health insurance increases each year. If we are locked into this contract through 2015 will we receive subsidies?
If this proposal is approved, there will be no increases to the medical subsidy for the term of the agreement.

Members have viewed a powerpoint presentation. Will they receive a copy of the actual contract before voting?
The power point presentation has all the essential elements of the contract. If this is passed the signed contract will contain all of the same elements.
